DISTRICT 18 VOTERS - TO THE PAST OR TO THE FUTURE?
May 28, 2008 (BOISE) -- The Durst for Idaho campaign wishes to congratulate the winner of Tuesday's Republican primary and looks forward to a spirited campaign in District 18.
During this critical election year, residents of District 18 are left with a very clear choice; to support the outdated policies of extremist House Republican leadership, or to vote for an independent-minded candidate who is in touch with today's pressing issues. Succinctly, do voters want to revisit the past or move forward to the future?
Despite serving in the House for a decade, Rep. Durst's opponent chose to neglect many of the key issues facing District 18. Her inability to adequately address the issues facing District 18 throughout her tenure has lead voters to one of two conclusions:
1) Her priorities don't align with District 18
2) She is ineffective.
Representative Branden Durst wants to continue to bring real change to Idaho through improvements in early childhood education, viable public transportation, adequate growth management, and by finding solutions to the healthcare crisis, especially for small businesses owners and their employees. These issues exist in their current form due to the harmful neglect of previous legislatures.
Rep. Durst has demonstrated his commitment to the people of District 18 by vigorously advocating for them and addressing these important issues over the past two years. He has done so with a bi-partisan approach, securing Republican and Democratic co-sponsors on several pieces of legislation.
More about the candidate:

In addition, Rep. Durst is a member of the State of Idaho's Information Technology Resource Management Council (ITRMC), which is responsible for providing key technology leadership for the State of Idaho.
